Winning at the Interview Game- A panel of experienced hiring managers will offer you tips and key strategies for successfully navigating the interview process and avoiding common pitfalls and reasons for rejection.

Developing your interview story (breakout session)- An interview is a chance to tell your story: who you are, what you’ve done in the past, and what you hope to do in the future. The best interviews happen when the story flows naturally and makes sense in the context of the job for which you are interviewing. During this guided breakout session, you will have the opportunity to develop your “interview story”with the assistance and support of your fellow soldiers.

LinkedIn Tutorial Session- After a highly successful pilot in April, we are thrilled to offer for the second time a comprehensive LinkedIn Tutorial taught by a LinkedIn Ambassador. LinkedIn is the most powerful networking tool in the world today. During this session you will experience hands-on training from an expert to learn how to maximize this tool to your advantage during the job search process.

Mock Interviews- When it comes to interviewing, there’s no substitute for practice. During this session, you’ll have the opportunity to put into practice the skills you’ve learned throughout the day in a one-on-one mock interview conducted by an experienced Duke University Business School member. Feedback and time for Q&A will be included at the end of each mock interview.

Social Hour- End your experience with an opportunity to network, have a drink and share your thoughts on the day’s events with each other, members of our F.I.V.E. Star team and some of our presenters.
